Kilkhampton or "Kilk" as the place is known locally, sits astride the A39 Atlantic Highway. The parish of Kilkhampton stretches from the edge of the Tamar Lakes to the beaches of Sandymouth and Duckpool. There are several burial grounds, dated to the Bronze age, located around the parish that suggest this area as been occupied by man for many centuries.

That's the history taken care of. Kilkhampton is a sleepy little village in North Cornwall (near the Devon border but don't hold it against us) boasting 2 pubs, 1 excellent chippy, 1 chinese take away and a Spar shop for groceries and just about everything else you can think of!

The Church in the centre of Kilkhampton is a peaceful and beautiful structure dedicated to St. James and built in the Norman style, with the south doorway constructed as early as the 12 century. For families in search of a little fun for the kids, Brocklands Adventure Park is just a short walk away from the village centre.

Bude is one of Cornwall's special places. The Bude area offers its visitors a variety of attractions and adventure parks, and opportunities for walking, cycling, golf and bird watching amongst others.

This part of Cornwall has some of the best surfing beaches in the UK and Bude was the site of the first UK life-saving club. With a spectacular coastline, designated area's of outstanding natural beauty, such as Coombe Valley, Tintagel, The Cornish Coastal Footpath and Bodmin Moor, Cornwall has loads to offer for a great all round family activity holiday.

The National Park of Dartmoor can be seen in the distance, where you can visit:
Merrivale - stone rows and settlements
Drizzlecombe - stone rows, cairns and menhirs
Grimspound - Bronze Age Settlement

And on Bodmin Moor:
The Hurlers - Stone Circle
The Stannon Stone Circle
Rough Tor settlement
